Grant Lawrence was born in Toledo Ohio in 1959. At a very early age, he began questioning religious and social structures. A parental divorce and a dysfunctional family life probably contributed to a thirst for answers. Grant was always deeply spiritual yet found the varying religious belief systems confusing and often contradictory.

Grant found a life partner and married in 1979. Grant graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications; Magna Cum Laude; in 1987. At about that time Grant started meditating, realizing that conventional religious worship and rituals would not help him in the path he was seeking. He worked in broadcasting and advertising for a few years and then settled on a insurance career that lasted nearly 14 years, winning numerous sales awards. Grant owned and operated his own insurance business for nearly 7 years when he realized that something was missing. He went through a deep personal transformation that was likely brought on by years of meditation. One day while out for a walk and in a very low mood, Grant came upon a little girl that smiled at him.

Grant felt a momentary joy and with that he was able to get a glimpse of something very powerful. At that moment, a profound realization clicked in his head and heart and he realized that Love was the way. Over time, Grant determined that he would change his life to be of service with whatever time he had left on earth and decided to sell his business and peruse a counseling career. Grant received an assistantship at Bowling Green State University in the Help-A-Child program helping interning teachers work with children from a psychological perspective. He has finished his course work for a Masters in Guidance and Counseling at Bowling Green State University that will allow him to graduate Suma Cum Laude at the end of 2004.

Grant has come to realize through meditation and awareness that we are more than our bodies, rather we are life itself or being. He has also come to realize that we can move the focus beyond our limited self concept and join with the flow of life. There is nothing to separate us from what cannot be separated. Rather we can align with life as One and allow Love. By abandoning our grasping, our attachments, our selfish desires, our anger, and our hate we can realize the source of life that is all of us, our Oneness.

Grant currently resides in Waterville Ohio with his wife of 25 years and his 3 daughters.
