The Other

This is what an understanding of shared existence is all about -- getting rid of the other. Friends, there is no "other" rather there is "us". As long as we continue in the mindset of the "other" then that is not in accord with the reality that our knowledge and understanding is beginning to show us. This is a deep and profound truth that can be expressed in various ways but the understanding is the same.
Unity and Oneness is an example of an expanded understanding that promotes a better way for all of us. The primitive examples of the past need to be learned from so as not to be continued over and over. As Robert McNamara said, when you make a mistake and you take out a few thousand people, well you learn from those mistakes; but, now if you make a mistake you can take out many cities. Although I don't endorse the sentiment; I do think the premise of mistakes being much more dangerous for the present is correct.
Yet, these are mistakes that need not be mistakes since the lessons have been played out over and over for us to learn from. The "other" paradigm will always be there as long as we promote and engage in a limited understanding and a limited existence. Hopefully, more of us will find that there is a better way leading to an understanding of the truth of our relationship that is Life, the meaning of Oneness (wholeness, harmony, balance), and the power of Unity.
